How much notice do I need to give?

Wedding Hire:-

Although we carry extensive stocks we do recommend, for your own peace of mind, that you book about 4 months in advance (one month for children). This is also a help to us as we endeavour to ensure that the suit that you try on is the one that you will wear on the day.

Evening Wear:-

We would suggest that you book as soon as you know the day of the function. In most cases however we can provide a 'book and collect' same day service.

When do I have to pay for the suits?

A £30 deposit is required when the suit is booked, if paying by CHEQUE the balance is due 10 days prior to collection. We regret that we do NOT accept payment by any type of card.

Do I need to leave a security deposit?

No. We may request proof of identity E.G. Driving License. Electricity Bill etc.

What happens if I damage an outfit?

No problem if you take advantage of our Accidental Damage Insurance, otherwise the full retail cost of the damaged item would be chargeable.

When do I need to collect the suits?

Normally two days before the function i.e. collect Thursday for Saturday Wedding. Please ask all members of your party to remove the outfit from the protective cover as soon as possible, check the contents and ensure that the suit fits satisfactorily. We will NOT be held responsible for complaints after the event.

When do I need to return the suit?

The first trading day after the function (E.G Monday following a Saturday wedding), a charge will definitely be made for late returns at £10 per day per outfit.

Do you want to see all members of the wedding party at this same time?


Please No! In our experience this only leads to confusion on the huge choice of outfits available and causes a considerable wait for all concerned. We would recommend a first visit from the Bride and Groom and one 'advisor' (usually the Best Man or Brides mother). Once we have agreed upon a particular outfit for the Groom, we can then discuss what the other members will wear. We will make a note of your decisions in your file and then the other members can call in individually for fitting at a time to suit themselves.

When is the best day to call in?

We do get very busy on Saturdays. A weekday visit would allow us to spend more time with you. We do not operate an appointment system.

What can we do if a member of the party lives a long way away?

We can give you the basic measurements we need to get an outfit together. If possible we would prefer to fit the suit ourselves - even on the day of the function.

Do I need a second fitting?

Normally No. Should however, a member of your party be concerned about a change in his weight we would suggest contacting us about 2/3 weeks prior to the wedding for a final fit. We would much prefer this to a 'panic' the day before the wedding!
